English Summer Camp in the ZOO

COLLEGE School of English has been organized summer camps in the ZOO Palic for eights years in succession. It is aimed for children 6 to 14 years old. In the picturesque and relaxing surroundings of the ZOO, children take part in different activities which involve learning English language. It is a half day camp so that most of the participants are from Subotica and Palic, but this year a considerate group of children has arrived from Belgrade as well.

The work is devided into three parts, the first of which is intense language work in group according to their knowledge. In other two parts total physical response activities are chosen so that children can play and practice their language spontaneously. In the course a lot of songs and drama elements are included but the important elements considering the developement of social awareness, tolerance and care for the animals and nature in general are constantly being pointed out. The summer course is run in two shifts, each lasting two weeks. First shift finishes on Saturday with a farewell performance, while the second shift starts on Monday, July 12th.
