Little owl in the ZOO

Igor Sekereš and Dubravko Kujundzic had brought us a little owl, probably Asio otus. The bird is in good condition and very alive, although it felt out from its nest – somewhere in the Palic area.

The owl is placed in a special cage where is being fed since, and will be held there until its full recovery. After that, the little bird will be placed in a cage with other owls of its kind.

Palic ZOO agitates all the animal lovers who, in the similar situations, are not in a position to take care of founded orphans, to do the same as Igor and Dubravko did. We are willing to take over these animals, do everything for their recovery, and if capable of living of their own, bring them back to their natural surrounding.

That is one of the newly introduced initiatives in our ZOO: to be involved in the active protection of the nature.
Negotiations about the support for this program are on, with a number of local and regional Ministries and institutions.
